ILoveMyFro is a natural hair care products/resource designed to inspire, educate and support women with natural hair. In September of 2006, I (Harmony Knight) did my BC (BIG CHOP), as my relaxed hair was severely damaged. Like many of you, I began relaxing my hair at the age of 13 and continued to do so into adulthood. When I initially did my BC, I had no intention of going natural. My intent was to wear a TWA (Teen Weenie Afro) until I gained some length, and then back to the relaxer I would go. Everyone loved the TWA on me. It was considered, retro, fresh and unique! I had no idea that opinions would change once I got into the ‘FUNKY GROW-OUT” stage!
As my hair continued to grow I realized that I was a woman in her early 30’s, who had know idea how to take care of her natural hair. That’s when I decided to try this natural thing out. At this stage of the game, I did not know about YouTube’s Natural Hair Community and all the other natural hair resources that were available; so I was on my own. I had many botched hair styles and disappointments! Many days, the relaxer was calling, but I was determined to learn how to take care of my hair in its natural state. What was my motivation? The hurtful comments, stares, and downright hatred for natural hair, made me realize that being my natural self was a problem! It was then that ILoveMyFro was born, in the face of ignorance and adversity! It was not until 2008, that I discovered YouTube and other natural hair resources. I decided to do a few videos on YouTube and share my journey with those who were struggling as I did.
ILoveMyFro was created to help my fellow sisters on their natural hair journey to avoid the pitfalls, gain the confidence and lose the “good hair” mentality!
**Please forgive the way the pictures look. Mentioned the other day that my place is getting fumigated. Had to move a lot of stuff around and I don’t know where the heck I put my baby blue blanket I love so much. *cries* So I had to use my 3 yr old Hello Kitty blanket. Boy did I hear her mouth. Smh. Pray for me. ;”'[**

Dang, this butter is hella good!
The texture and consistency of Shea Butter Whip is thick, wet yet emulsifies perfect once it hits body warmth. This butter slip is off da chain! Real talk. You can use this to detangle dry hair, you can use it for twist, braid outs, as a refresher. This is water based too so if just apply this product on dry hair and an oil based sealer, you’d be good to go.
Told you guys I have three girls and we all have different textures. This butter was light enough to use on my fine haired toddlers and just right for my teen and myself. The smell is everything too! Vanilla scent is o-kay to me but that merry berry! Took the four year old to the doctor the other day and the nurses were wondering what was that yummy smell. All of them were smelling her hair lol. Yes, it smells that good folks. The nose, knows. Haha. *looks around* #cheesymoment *nervous laugh*
Ingredients: 100% Avocado Oil
With this one, the name says it all. I use this to seal the hair and to me, I think it’s better than olive oil when it comes down to sealing in the moisture. I tried to show the color of this then I remember it’s the same color as Dabur Amla hair oil and the same consistency as olive oil.
Would I purchase? That whipped shea tho!!! I am getting the large size asap and a couple of 2oz sizes in other scents.
**The whipped shea has various scents. The newest scent is Pumpkin Spice and it’s seasonal. That bad boy is on my hitlist. Word up! *Martin voice*.. Harmony (creator/owner of I Love My Fro) sells tees too! The designs are hella cute.**
